Therefore, the stain on the fence we have only last 2 years and now start fading. The fence normally very easy forget by the homeowner, because, the fence color will get darker over a year or two, that is dirt, mold and aged. After power wash, you will see bare wood, the first time thin stained already faded out, moisture and sun can easily harm the fence, and you may see fence picket start cracking, especially the horizontal rail, because, it supports a lot of weight, repairing a horizontal rail is not an easy job.

If your fence picket is treated, it may not show sign of mold, but the mold slowly builds up. Since the picket stain is only thin on the surface, Rainwater, hot Sun will start corroding the picket and mold start building up, and the picket will start cracking, it is very expensive to replace with a new fence.
